Project Overview
Through this project, a former music hall has been refurbished to become a museum and visitor centre housing Shropshire's extensive collection of artefacts.
The development included the sensitive refurbishment of the Grade II* 13th Century Vaughan’s Mansion and extensive alterations to the Grade II Music Hall buildings, which provided exhibition space.
In addition, new build works within the courtyard allowed for improved circulation of visitors, and comprised a feature staircase, café extension and a timber link structure between Vaughan’s Mansion and Market Square. Images courtesy of Austin Smith Lord

Our Solution
We coordinated our approach to conservations to deliver sensitive solutions that would allow the building to be repaired and retrofitted; unlocking its future whilst preserving its history.
