- Exciting news for Curtins – Investors in People Platinum status for another three years!
Last week, we received the fantastic news that we have retained our Platinum accreditation with Investors in People (IIP) for the third time in a row. We scored 793 out of 900 on the total assessment, earning us the highest score in our sector.
IIP is the highest level of accreditation an organisation can receive for its people management practice, it’s internationally recognised for promoting employee wellbeing, increasing productivity, and building stronger, healthier and happier workplaces.
We first attained our IIP accreditation in 2006 achieving the entry-level National Standard. In 2019, we gained our first Platinum status, which we have maintained through three-year assessments ever since. Retaining this status since 2019 places us in the top 1% of businesses accredited by IPP and demonstrates our exemplary commitment to our people as well as our ambition to continuously improve.
The IIP process starts with a conversation with them, followed by a survey sent to our staff asking for feedback on life at Curtins. All data is reviewed in considerations with our policies, practices and principles. Interviews are conducted with randomly selected staff members, and our CEO, Neil Parkinson and our HR and Learning & Development teams.
Following a full review from an independent panel, the final report announced that we had achieved another three years of Platinum status. Our staff had an overwhelmingly positive response, feeling a strong connection to the business. Assessors recognised that employees feel comfortable discussing personal matters and wellbeing and considers Curtins offices a comfortable environment.
John O’Sullivan, IIP Assessor highlighted Curtins’ work around pushing boundaries and thought leadership: “I think groundbreaking work here. Breaking down barriers around gender, neurodiversity, menopause, menstruation, all of these things most organisations don’t even want to discuss. I think it’s commendable the work that you have been doing.”
