As part of Curtins' Impact Week, we've been encouraging our team to support our chosen charity, NSPCC on its biggest fundraising day of the year.

Board Director Rebecca King, Finance Manager Paula Gainer, and our new Learning and Development Advisor, Emoke Saunders visited the NSPCC Hub in Great Homer Street for a tour and to learn more about where the money we raise goes and what our efforts support.

The Northwest Hub is the only purpose-built centre in the UK where children and families are provided with invaluable support for children aged from as young as 4 up to 19.

Facilities within the centre include:

  • Pregnancy in Mind (PiM) support

  • Domestic Abuse Recovery Together (DART)

  • Letting the Future In (LTFI) and;

  • The Local Campaigns Team

On site is also the Childline call centre which at the time the team visited it (11.30am) there had already been over 120 calls. The call count typically grows to around 900 every day, supported heavily by volunteers to ensure that someone is available to speak to children or families when it’s needed most.

You can read more about the amazing services offered to young people and families here.
